Finding your PERFECT home!

Are you looking for your new home? There are so many things to consider when looking for the place you call home. It is important to know what you are looking for, sometimes it is easier to make a list of all the must haves you’d like to see in your next place.

It’s so easy these days to find listings and visit apartments.

Popular items are usually which floor level you’d like to live on, view, proximity to different amenities. Everyone is a little different, do you care more for the amenities in your apartment community, or would you prefer more upgraded amenities within your new home?

What type of amenities are you looking for? Pool; chlorine or salt water? Gym? Parking?

Find out where you’d like to live based on the proximity from your family, your work, grocery stores, shopping and entertainment. Narrow down what, where and how much you’d like to spend.

Once you complete this you can start looking! For many apartment hunters, the actual apartment hunt is the fun part. Online is usually the easiest way to begin,,, are usually the most informative and will narrow down your search. Would you prefer to call, email or stop by in person to narrow down your search. Emailing can usually take more time but you will have everything in writing and all information will be right in front of you to view. Calling can sometimes lead to call centers that are occasionally unreliable. Visiting the apartment community is the best way. Certainly more time consuming however, it allows you to place you eyes on the location, see the space, the amenities and provides you with a face to the community.

Always ask about specials, these could be upfront fees, concessions or sometimes preferred employer programs.

Once you’ve decided on a place you’ll be able to pick your move in date, and sometimes the exact apartment you want.

Happy Leasing!
